Reliable Steering When Conditions Turn Wet

RC pilots who encounter wet grass and damp tracks can rely on the Tamiya 45061 water-resistant servo for dependable steering. Its careful engineering aims to reduce failure from light water exposure while keeping control predictable. The servo is appropriate for hobbyists seeking a robust, easy-to-fit steering solution.

Enhanced Lifespan with Cooling Fins

Equipped with a black heat-sink, the Tamiya 45061 improves heat dissipation and provides extra structural support. These cooling fins help maintain performance during extended operation and add resilience against the stresses of active driving in wet conditions.

Consistent Torque and Quick Movement

The unit provides accurate steering inputs and reliable output. It has a 45 degree operating angle, 4.0Kg cm of torque at 6V, and an operating speed of 0.17sec for every 60 degrees. Those figures represent dependable behaviour for tight turns and quick corrections on the track.

One of these went into my Fighter Buggy RX. Extremely well built for the price. Perfect for the restoration.
No, it is water-resistant for light exposure and splashes, but not rated for full immersion. Use caution in very wet conditions.
Use a stable supply between 4.8 and 6.0V. A regulated 6V source yields the advertised torque and speed figures.
The servo provides consistent steering feel that helps with control on slick surfaces, though tyre choice and setup remain critical.
Standard servo horns and mounting hardware are compatible, and routine replacement parts can be sourced through usual hobby channels.
