Authentic WWI Armour in 1/35 Scale from Tamiya 48214

The Tamiya 48214 1/35 British Mk.IV Male WWI RC Tank faithfully recreates a key armoured vehicle from the First World War. The Mk.IV Male entered production around March 1917 with roughly 1,000 units built, and the variant featured prominently in actions such as the November 1917 offensive at Cambrai.

Realistic Components and Radio Control Setup

This model captures fine exterior detail and measures 230mm in length by 143mm across. It includes accessories like an unhitching log with metal chain, fuel tank box and tow rope. The TTU-10 transmitter with MC-07 receiver/motor control unit both have built-in antennas, and the kit uses two pre-assembled gearboxes driven by Type 130 motors to provide forward and reverse motion plus turning. The transmitter's four speed settings let you tailor performance for display or light-running use.

Period Paint Schemes Included

Three decal schemes are supplied to match historical examples: Option A for Glamorgan of G Battalion in 1918, Option B for H45 Hyacinth from H Battalion near Ribecourt in November 1917, and Option C for Black Arrow II of B Battalion at Fontaine-Notre-Dame in November 1917, allowing accurate visual choices for your model.

A marvellous little model. Very well packaged and brilliant people to do business with l hope to deal with them again. Thankyou Dave M.
This kit is appropriate for intermediate modellers; newcomers can complete it too but should allow time for painting and careful assembly.
You will need eight AAA alkaline batteries to power the kit; using fresh, good-quality cells ensures consistent control and motor performance.
Many hobbyists upgrade motors, gears or add protective sealing to run on harsher surfaces, but the stock setup is optimised for scale realism and light running.
Yes, the tank is well suited to indoor displays and smooth-floor running, where its detailed features and controlled speeds can be appreciated.
