The Tamiya 49498 F103RM mirrors formula handling in a compact package, built on the F103 chassis to give a realistic feel when cornering and accelerating. It is aimed at hobbyists who like to fine tune setup for lap time gains.
The chassis incorporates the Formula Lightweight Diff Joint Set to lower rotating mass and sharpen acceleration. Alongside this, the Formula Height Adjustable Gear Case lets you modify ride height to suit different wheels and tyres for optimal clearance.
Rear braking of vibration is addressed by a ball mount arrangement replacing the O-ring support, resulting in smoother rolling behaviour. Combined with a kingpin coil spring at the front and a T-bar rear with friction plate, the car responds predictably under braking and turn-in.
