TL-01 Drivetrain Carbon Upgrade

The Tamiya 53322 Hollow Carbon Gear Shaft set replaces stock metal shafts on TL-01 chassis with lightweight carbon fibre parts. These hollow shafts aim to preserve driveline stiffness while trimming rotating mass for a more responsive feel.

Lightweight Construction

Carbon fibre construction reduces the weight of the rotating components, helping acceleration and reducing inertia on gear shafts. That reduction in rotating mass makes throttle inputs feel snappier without changing gear ratios.

Kit Contents

• One 25mm carbon gear shaft
• Two 40mm carbon gear shafts
• One 30mm carbon gear shaft

The shafts are machined to match TL-01, TL01B and Stadium Raider gear layouts and act as drop-in replacements for standard shafts. The 5mm outer diameter keeps them compatible with commonly used bearings and gears.

Fitting Recommendations

Install eight 5x11mm bearings to support the idler, spur and counter shafts and reduce friction. After fitting, check alignment and ensure bearings spin freely before returning the car to full use.
