Enhance RC tank combat with Tamiya 53447

The Tamiya 53447 RC 1/16 Tank LED Battle System OP-447 is intended to give 1/16 scale tanks realistic combat feedback. By combining infrared beam detection with authentic sound and response effects, the system recreates battle scenarios without physical harm to models.

Key units and battlefield behaviour

The system comprises a GFS (Gun Fire Simulator) Unit and an Infrared LED Unit so vehicles can both emit shots and detect hits. This arrangement supports damage sounds, engine fault cues and temporary operational restrictions. The maximum shooting distance is stated as 30 metres for larger engagement areas.

Adjustable combat parameters

Select light, medium or heavy classes to set tank resilience. You can alter the allowed number of hits and the firing interval to suit your event. Note that the Battle System requires a Multifunction Unit in the tank and is designed for use with two or more equipped tanks for full combat scenarios.

What a registered hit looks and sounds like

When a hit registers the unit plays a damage blast sound and delivers a blast reaction shake. The GFS LED flashes and the engine noise and speed are reduced to simulate damage. Hits are most effective within about 5 metres from most angles; longer distances need direct, perpendicular strikes to register.

very quick post to uk all good thank you. my number 1 for tamiya parts .
Compatibility requires the tank to have a Multifunction Unit fitted. Without that unit the Battle System cannot properly interface with the model.
For genuine head-to-head play you should have at least two tanks fitted with the Battle System. More units increase tactical options and enjoyment.
Detection depends on range and angle. Hits inside about 5 metres are detected from most angles, while shots at greater distance must strike at near right angles to register reliably.
On impact the Battle System plays a damage blast sound, triggers a blast reaction effect, flashes the GFS LED and reduces engine sound and speed to mirror damage until recovery settings restore normal operation.
