The Tamiya 54919 Type 370 Torque-Tuned Motor is aimed at hobbyists who want improved torque for Star-Unit Series models. It is compatible with SW-01 and T3-01 chassis and offers a simple swap-in upgrade to strengthen acceleration and handling in technical sections.

Which gears to use

On SW-01 chassis fit Item 54228 (26T) for correct pinion engagement and use Items 54834, 54857, and 54876 where indicated to preserve drivetrain geometry. For T3-01 choose Item 50354 (16T) or Item 50355 (18T), and pair with Items 54900 and 54928 to achieve dependable gearing and reduced wear.

Powering the motor

You can run the motor on Tamiya R6/AA/UM3 batteries or Item 55105. Both are practical choices for club nights and practice, allowing quick battery swaps and predictable voltage delivery.
