Convert Your Tamiya R/C to Tracked Operation

The Tamiya 54948 Track Unit Sets let you replace wheels on compatible R/C kits to gain better mobility on soft surfaces. Based on the Landfreeder QuadTrack idea, the units are useful for snow, mud and other low-traction conditions.

Supported Chassis and TT-02 Notes

These units fit a number of Tamiya chassis including CC-01, CC-02, GF-01 (CB, TR), G6-01(TR) and WR-02 (CB). If fitting to a TT-02 you should also install Item 50354 (16T, 17T Pinion Gear Set) and a CR-Tuned Motor (35T) which are sold separately.

Pivoted Rollers and Ground Contact

Each track assembly uses a three-sided pivot at the top of the roller arm plus a sprung third roller to maintain even contact and traction over uneven terrain. That layout helps keep momentum across soft or bumpy ground.

Drive Sprocket and Link Assembly

Drive is taken by an upper sprocket tied to the chassis drive shaft, with eight rollers wrapped by plastic link-type tracks containing soft inserts. Metal link pins secure links and you can select either standard or grouser links depending on the running surface.
