The Tamiya 56030 RC Russian Heavy Tank KV-2 Gigant combines accurate exterior detail with functional RC systems for enthusiasts. This 1/16 scale full option kit is intended for active modelling and realistic remote operation.

Heritage and Exterior Accuracy

The KV-2 was notable in WWII for its enormous turret and the 152mm howitzer it carried, designed to assault fortified positions. The Tamiya model recreates the KV-2s rectangular turret and external fittings with precise scaling.

Construction and Drive Details

This kit includes a pre-assembled gearbox powered by Type 380 motors to deliver controlled speed and torque for realistic movement. Metal components in the lower hull and suspension arms increase durability, while metal torsion bars and resin tracks help the model cope with uneven surfaces.

Firing Effects and Turret Control

Equipped with the DMD Control Unit T-08, the model provides immersive combat simulation. A barrel-mounted LED flashes on firing and the onboard speaker generates authentic sound effects. The turret offers 360 degree rotation and the gun barrel elevates and depresses to mirror real firing positions. The optional Battle System enables engagement with other compatible models.
