Nismo Coppermix Silvia Recreation for RC Drift Enthusiasts

Debuting at the 2005 NISMO Festival, the Coppermix Silvia is a distinctive street-legal S15 that stands out for its silver paint accented with red and black. Tamiya recreates that appearance in a finished RC model designed to look right on the tarmac.

High Fidelity Bodywork with LED Lighting

The 2004 festival styling is reflected in the model's body kit and sponsor decals. A polycarbonate shell with separately moulded side mirrors and rear wing gives a convincing silhouette, while bespoke LED headlights and tail lights improve visibility and add realism when running after dark.

Chassis Layout Focused on Drift Balance

The TT-01D bathtub frame keeps the Sport-Tuned Motor and battery mounted low for a reduced center of gravity, aiding stability when initiating and holding drifts. The shaft-driven 4WD system with front and rear 3-bevel diffs, CVA mini shock absorbers and double wishbone suspension yields controllable handling. Full ball bearings and an aluminium motor heat sink contribute to drivetrain efficiency during extended sessions.

Tamiya 57765 - XB Nismo Coppermix Silvia TT-01D is a ready-built option for drivers who want a realistic drift replica with a reliable chassis platform. It makes a good starting point for tuning and incremental upgrades.

The RTR layout is accessible for newcomers, while the chassis and parts allow more experienced drivers to change settings and add upgrades.
Tamiya parts are generally easy to source, with common service items like bearings, shocks and body parts available from hobby suppliers.
Smooth asphalt or sealed car park surfaces work well for this car; adjust tyre choice and shock settings to suit grip levels for predictable slides.
You can fit a brushless system, but you will need a compatible ESC and to check motor mount and pinion fitment before installing.
