Authentic GT300 looks scaled for RC

The Tamiya 57794 - XB Cusco Impreza TT-01E faithfully echoes the GT300 contender from the 2008 Super GT season, down to the race-inspired wing and canards. The polycarbonate bodyshell reproduces the Impreza lines and includes moulded mirror and aero details for a realistic presentation.

TT-01E layout for stable, predictable driving

The TT-01E shaft-driven 4WD chassis gives this model reliable traction and a planted feel. With a low-slung motor and battery arrangement, the centre of gravity is reduced. Reinforced nylon upper deck and gear covers enhance rigidity while the three-piece steering tie-rod and double wishbone suspension aid consistent handling. Front and rear 3-bevel differentials help balance power distribution.

RTR convenience with room to customise

Arriving ready to run with a Type 540 motor and forward/reverse ESC, the XB Cusco Impreza is convenient for immediate driving and also serves as a baseline for upgrades. The radio requires 8xR6/AA/UM3 batteries, which are sold separately.

The Tamiya 57794 - XB Cusco Impreza TT-01E blends scale authenticity with a forgiving TT-01E chassis, making it a sensible pick for collectors and club drivers looking for a reliable RTR model.

Before running, check that all screws are secure, confirm steering alignment, and ensure the transmitter batteries are fresh. A quick test run at low throttle verifies steering and brakes.
The bodyshell is supplied clear and pre-marked for trimming, so you can paint the interior with polycarbonate paint and apply decals for the finished race livery.
Fibreglass-reinforced nylon parts and reinforced gear covers give the TT-01E a durable feel for regular club running, though high-impact crashes may still require replacement parts.
Upgrading to oil-filled shocks, fitting higher-grip tyres and experimenting with diff oil weights can noticeably improve cornering and traction on tarmac tracks.
