Classic Fighter Design, Ready for Trail Work

The Tamiya 58416-60A Rising Fighter brings the fighter-series silhouette to a practical 1/10 scale package inspired by icons such as The Hornet and The Grasshopper. With overall dimensions of 418mm by 236mm by 187mm, it is compact and nimble for varied off-road conditions.

Handling and Shock Absorption

Independent front swing axles combined with a rolling rigid rear suspension give balanced handling over uneven ground. Large friction dampers help control motion and the bevel differential smooths power transfer for more consistent traction.

Chassis Strength and Serviceability

The semi-monocoque structure strengthens the main chassis while keeping access straightforward for maintenance. A sealed gearbox protects gears and reduces service intervals by keeping contaminants out.

Drive Components and Electronics

The kit is fitted with grooved front tyres and spike rear tyres for dependable grip. A 540 motor is supplied, but an ESC is not included so you can choose an appropriate controller. Required items include a 7.2V battery, suitable charger and a 2-channel radio to complete the model.

The Rising Fighter is a good choice for modders and casual racers who want a classic chassis with straightforward upgrade paths. Its reliable construction makes it well suited to frequent running.

Basic hobby tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and a hobby knife are sufficient, with optional small spanners and hex drivers making assembly smoother.
Yes, many owners fit upgraded dampers for improved performance, but check mounting dimensions and spring rates to match the chassis balance.
It performs well on dirt, short grass and hard-packed tracks. For very loose sand or mud, consider changing tyres and protecting electronics more thoroughly.
The white body is ideal for painting and decals, allowing you to create a personalised livery before final assembly.
