Authentic GT-R styling on the TT-02D drift chassis

The Tamiya NISSAN GT-R TT-02D reproduces the look of the road car at 1/10 scale while providing a chassis that is tuned for drift performance. This kit gives enthusiasts a realistic body and a platform that responds to setup changes.

Compact competition inspiration

With roots in series-level racing, the real GT-R lends its design cues to the RC version. Tamiya captures those competitive lines so your model has a true-to-life presence on the track or in a collection.

TT-02D layout focused on drift control

The shaft-driven 4WD TT-02D is engineered for predictable rear slip and stable handling. Its modular nature makes it easy to experiment with wheelbase and track settings to suit different driving styles.

Scale detailing with practical trims

The polycarbonate body includes separate mirrors and a rear spoiler for accurate visuals, while plated front and rear light cases are supplied for fitment of optional high-brightness LEDs to recreate authentic lighting.

Quality parts for repeatable performance

The kit comes with a Type 540 Sport-Tuned Motor and an aluminium heat sink for temperature control. Full ball bearings minimise friction, and the double-wishbone suspension with CVA oil dampers offers consistent absorption during slides. The mesh wheels and drift tyres are chosen to suit typical drifting surfaces.

The Tamiya NISSAN GT-R TT-02D makes a capable entry point into drift modelling, pairing realistic scale detail with a chassis that supports steady, controllable slides and further upgrades.

Common upgrades include higher performance motors, adjustable turnbuckles, and upgraded dampers. Many builders also add steering modifications to fine tune drift angle.
The kit includes the Type 540 Sport-Tuned Motor but does not include an ESC. Radio gear, servos and battery are also not included and must be chosen separately.
The double-wishbone layout with CVA oil dampers provides consistent wheel control and predictable weight transfer, which helps maintain stable slides and recover from oversteer.
Begin with the supplied drift tyres and experiment with ride height and toe settings. If more or less slip is required, try alternative tyre compounds or different wheel offsets to alter grip.
