The Tamiya Landfreeder Quadtrack brings a fresh approach to off-road R/C by fitting three-sided track units in place of wheels. Built on the adaptable TT-02FT 1/10 chassis, the kit focuses on stable traction and straightforward maintenance for outdoor use.
The Landfreeder uses three-sided track units that widen the contact area to 60mm while each track is 39.3mm across. Two elastomer link options, standard and grouser, let you alter the machine's bite depending on the ground. Each assembly includes a sprocket and four rollers, with the third roller fitted on a spring to help keep the track engaged over uneven terrain.
The body is pre-painted in PS-5 black polycarbonate and includes smoke-tinted glazing plus chrome-look details that replicate a truck grille, fog lamps and roll bar. A polycarbonate chassis cover together with wheel well liners helps protect drivetrain components from mud and dirt ingress.
The TT-02FT variant retains the TT-02 platform characteristics while adapting for tracked running, offering four-bevel differentials and uniform suspension arms for consistent handling. The kit includes a 540-brushed motor and a NEW ESC compatible with sensored brushless motors of 21.5 turns or above.
The Tamiya Landfreeder Quadtrack is a practical choice for modders and club runners who want a reliable, track-based platform for a broad range of surfaces. It is well suited to tuning and stepwise upgrades.
