This educational kit is crafted to demonstrate fundamental mechanical principles through a buildable walking robot. It supports two, four or six leg arrangements powered by a single motor, and uses a sound sensor to control motion from audio input.
The project shows how link mechanisms translate rotation into leg movement, providing a visible example of mechanical engineering basics. Assembly avoids screws and uses push rivets for straightforward construction, while a preassembled gearbox simplifies the process.
Included are the sound sensor unit, motor, universal plates, arm components, bolts and a battery compartment. Components are designed for easy handling and the kit needs only basic tools. The robot runs on two R6/AA/UM3 batteries which must be purchased separately.
