The Tamiya 70215 Heat-Shrinking Pla-plate suits modellers who enjoy crafting small personalised elements for their RC kits. Supplied as B6 sheets, the material makes it straightforward to create bespoke tags, emblems, and tiny accessories.
The sheet will reduce to about 1/6 of its original dimensions when heated, so you can draw larger artwork that becomes finely detailed after shrinking. A toaster oven gives the most even heat, and the basic kit only needs permanent markers and scissors to get started. The plastic begins clear for tracing, and the white tint deepens during shrinkage to make markings more visible.
Two white B6 sheets are included, enough for a number of small projects. Permanent markers are ideal for bold designs while coloured pencils are useful for softer shading. The pack contains instructions in both Japanese and English to help you reproduce consistent results.
