Flat Black Finish for Model Making

The Tamiya 81301 Acrylic XF-1 Flat Black is a 23ml model paint formulated with water-soluble acrylic resins. It performs well with brush and airbrush methods, flowing smoothly for blending on styrol resins, Styrofoam, timber and standard modelling plastics.

Practical Uses and Preparation

XF-1 Flat Black is ideal for scale detailing and larger painted areas where a matt effect is preferred. It adheres reliably to a range of materials and gives good coverage. For airbrushing, thin using Tamiya thinners such as 81020, 81030, 81040, 81520 or 87077 to ensure clean atomisation.
