• In 1975, Walter Wolf, a rich Slovenian-Austrian-Canadian businessman bought Frank Williams Rushing Automobiles and developed Wolf Racing. The F1 team featured the popular Wolf WR1 race automobile, that has been driven by Jody Scheckter. In 1977, the Wolf WR1 made its debut during the Argentine Grand Prix. The WR1 automobile finished in 11th place. Through the 1977 competition duration, Scheckter drove the WR1 to three victories and a standard 2nd spot finish into the driver's championship.
