Bring Precision Tuning to Your TRF502X

The Tamiya 84310 - TRF502X Chassis Upgrade Set is intended for drivers who want more control over vehicle dynamics. Drawing on TRF team development, the set supplies robust components that widen tuning choices and improve on-track consistency.

Engineered Components for Improved Control

Included are redesigned 2.5mm carbon front and rear upper decks to boost chassis rigidity and deliver steadier handling at speed. The aluminium upper arm mounts allow fine adjustments to camber for cleaner suspension movement.

Better Suspension Geometry and Secure Drivetrain

The kit also contains 3.5mm carbon rear damper stays with adjusted mounting points to raise clearance and refine rebound travel. Aluminium rear suspension mounts provide selectable toe positions so you can tune understeer and corner entry. Universal propeller shafts are supplied with axle rings to prevent accidental separation during running.

A stiffer chassis spreads loads more evenly which can lead to more consistent tyre contact and steadier grip through a run, though tyre wear depends on compound and driving style.
The mounts are designed to replace the standard units and use the same fixing points. Check that all fasteners are tightened to correct torque and inspect for any interference after fitting.
Yes, the parts increase tuning range so you can adapt setups for practice sessions and race conditions by altering camber, toe and rebound settings.
Test changes incrementally and compare lap times after each adjustment. Keep an eye on mounting hardware and recheck preload and alignment after the first few runs.
The upgrade does not mandate specific electronics; use your normal motor and ESC choices and tune chassis geometry first before altering powertrain items.
