Precision spray for scale aircraft

Tamiya AS-18 Light Grey is a synthetic lacquer spray designed for scale aircraft modelling. It aims to reproduce authentic light grey tones used on many types of airframes and is well matched to 1/32 and 1/48 scale kits. Each can contains 100ml of lacquer.

Maintain fine detail with even coats

The AS-18 aerosol delivers a smooth, even film that helps protect recessed lines and small features on your model. Apply thin, overlapping bursts until the desired depth of colour is achieved to avoid obscuring detail.

Is this product suitable for outdoor use on models?

This lacquer is intended for indoor modelling use. If models are displayed outdoors, use a UV-stable protective clear over the lacquer to reduce fading.

Will this paint lift existing plastic glue joints?

When applied correctly over cured and cleaned seams, AS-18 should not affect well-cured glue joints. Allow adhesives to fully cure and consider spot-priming joints to be safe.

Are there recommended ventilation practices when spraying?

Use adequate ventilation or a spray booth when applying aerosol lacquers. Wear a suitable mask and avoid breathing spray mist to protect your health.
