The Tamiya 89541 faithfully represents the U.S. M551 Sheridan, first deployed in 1966 and notable for combining a light chassis with the M81 152mm gun-launcher. Its air-portable design allowed rapid deployment and saw action during the Vietnam War and later campaigns.
This 1/35 scale release is aimed at modellers who prefer static display work, featuring belt-type tracks and a crew torso figure to enhance visual realism. Although the original kit appeared as a motorised set in 1971, this issue is produced for detailed, non-powered presentation.
