The 1/48 scale Henschel Hs-123A-1 fighter plan model by Italeri includes several Tamiya original drum cans and Jerry cans as utilized by Luftwaffe to carry airplane fuel, causeing this become model ready-made to be used as a diorama centerpiece.

Towards Henschel Hs-123A-1

Developed in 1935, the Henschel Hs-123A-1 served as a ground-attack fighter in Spanish Civil War and WWII. Running on an 880hp air-cooled BMW132 motor, the open-topped Henschel had been considered obsolete by the start of WWII. But its low-speed stable flying made it perfect as a ground attack fighter during the German Blitzkrieg offensive. From 1941 it also served regarding Eastern front side, where it gained pilots' trust because durability and high working cost. Ab muscles last Henschel's disappeared from industry in summertime of 1944.
