The Tamiya 89783 reproduces the Italian L6/40 in 1/35 scale with attention to surface detail and period features. Developed by Fiat-Ansaldo in 1936 and entering production from 1941, the L6/40 was deployed across North Africa, the Balkans and on the Russian front, where it fulfilled reconnaissance and light combat duties.
This limited edition kit presents a riveted hull reminiscent of the Carro Armato M13/40 and contains parts for the transmission, driver position, drive shaft and a turret 20mm gun. The kit allows model builders to display hatches either open or closed and to fit engine inspection doors for extra realism.
Assembly-type tracks are provided alongside photo-etched parts for hinges, exhaust covers and number plates. Five marking choices let you model vehicles from North Africa, Russia and the Balkans or a German service example. Two Tamiya figures, a standing officer and a seated crewman, are included with decals for uniforms.
