Tamiya 95164 Mach Frame Silver Metallic Details

The Tamiya 95164 Mach Frame Silver Metallic is a notable Mini 4WD release that combines display-grade styling with track-ready engineering. This 1/32 scale model uses the FM-A chassis, featuring a front-mounted motor arrangement that improves airflow and handling over cambers and elevations.

The limited silver metallic paintwork is enhanced with metallic decals to catch light and emphasise sculpted surfaces. The silhouette borrows elements from racing bikes and fighter jets, reflecting a focus on aerodynamic form. The chassis is injection-moulded in metallic gray ABS and fitted with low-friction components plus a front skid bar to maintain momentum on demanding track sections.

It runs on white A-spoke wheels with super hard low-profile tyres designed for stability on Mini 4WD circuits. The kit includes a 130-size motor and 3.5:1 gearing. Note that two AA batteries are required to power the model.

I have been purchasing Tamiya products with Rcjaz for a couple of months now, selection is awesome and service is quick and reliable, considering I leave half way around the world.
Yes, the FM-A front motor setup tends to stabilise the nose during airborne sections and helps the car land straighter, which assists lap consistency on jump-heavy tracks.
To boost grip, try softer compound tyres or add small weight low in the chassis. Adjusting roller placement to keep the car centred in corners also improves cornering performance.
Check that axles spin freely, rollers are secure, stickers are firmly applied, and that screws are tight. Replace worn tyres and confirm two AA batteries are fresh for consistent speed.
