This aftermarket transmission housing is manufactured for the TAMIYA 1/10 BBX BB-01 chassis and sold as model BBX038. Machined from 7075-T6 aluminium, the unit reduces play inside the gearbox so the spur and pinion retain better alignment under load.

With reduced internal clearance the gearbox delivers more predictable steering feedback and steadier engagement during demanding RC use. This part is supplied for hobbyist RC applications only and is not intended for any real vehicle use.

Installation follows standard BB-01 procedures: remove the OEM housing, transfer bearings and any internal parts needed, fit the aluminium housing in the transmission area and secure with the original screws. Check gear mesh and endplay after fitting and fine tune before final assembly.
