Rear damper assembly for BBX tuning

This aftermarket rear shock assembly is designed for the TAMIYA 1/10 BBX BB-01 platform and is supplied under GPM as model BBX090R. It is a rear hop-up intended to provide accessible spring preload adjustment from the top retainer.

The construction uses 7075 aluminium for the main damper body and the package contains two rear dampers plus two silver spare springs. The assembled units carry the standard black springs, and the spare silver springs are 0.1mm thicker in wire diameter to offer a firmer option when installed.

Adjustment is straightforward and mechanical: changing preload with the top retainer alters the effective spring rate so you can tune rear balance and rebound on the BBX BB-01 chassis without altering the damper casing.

Packing includes

A practical upgrade for BBX BB-01 owners who want a durable 7075 aluminium rear damper and easy preload tuning; installs using stock geometry for a straightforward swap.

Yes, these fit the BBX BB-01 rear shock mounts and are intended for direct replacement without special adapters.
Start with the stock black springs supplied on the dampers and test handling; switch to the supplied silver springs for a firmer setup if needed.
Adjust preload incrementally and test on a representative surface; small changes to spring preload will affect both rebound and rear balance, so tune progressively.
