Rear bevel gear kit tailored for CC01

This seven-piece steel rear bevel differential gear set is provided under model SCC1200R and is intended as replacement bevel gears for the TAMIYA CC01 chassis. Steel construction gives greater wear resistance where original brass or plastic gears may not be as durable.

The parts are intended as spare components for drivetrain maintenance and correct setup. When fitting steel bevels to the CC01 rear differential, ensure proper gear mesh, endfloat, and use lubricants specified for steel interfaces to avoid accelerated wear. Retain the original diff housing and factory bearings and shims unless replacement is required by condition or preference.

As a tuning note, upgrading to steel bevel gears is mainly a service and longevity measure rather than a direct performance upgrade. Steel reduces gear deformation under sustained load which can be important during longer runs or heavier scale driving.

Specifications

  • Item: Rear bevel differential gear set, 7 pcs
  • Material: Steel
  • Model Number: SCC1200R
  • Compatibility: Tamiya CC01

Use the SCC1200R set when replacing worn CC01 rear bevel gears, and perform standard checks for mesh, lubrication, and bearing condition during the rebuild.

This item is compatible with

  • TAMIYA CC01
The product is listed for the CC01 chassis. Other Tamiya models may use different diff geometry, so check compatibility before fitting to non-CC01 vehicles.
Steel offers improved wear resistance and reduced deformation under load versus softer stock gears, but requires correct mesh and lubrication to avoid increased wear to mating parts.
Installation uses standard diff rebuild steps: disassemble, inspect bearings and shims, set mesh and endplay, lubricate, and reassemble. Basic RC maintenance skills are sufficient.
