This aluminium hi-torque servo saver is an aftermarket replacement for the Tamiya CC01 chassis and comes as one complete set. The design pairs an aluminium saver housing with a steel tie rod and a 25T spline that matches common servo horns used in scale RC models. It reduces impact loads transmitted to the servo while keeping steering response direct for realistic handling.
For model-scale use only, this unit replaces the stock plastic saver to provide a firmer mechanical link between the servo output and the steering linkage. The stiffer aluminium body and straight steel tie rod help retain alignment under load for more consistent steering feedback.
Fitting instructions: remove the original saver assembly and check your servo horn spline count before fitting, secure linkages with the recommended thread engagement, and confirm steering centres after installation. No changes to electronics are normally required, however small trim tweaks can restore centre position.
