This aluminum gear box is an aftermarket direct-fit housing created for the named Tamiya DT platforms. With a gun metal anodized surface, the machined enclosure replaces the original plastic pod to deliver greater structural rigidity and more predictable gear alignment for scale RC applications.

Fitting the part involves removing the factory gearbox and transplanting the existing spur, pinion, bearings, and internal shafts into the new housing where compatible. Basic disassembly of the DT-series centre pod is required; work on a clean bench with standard hex drivers and keep components sorted. This item is intended as an RC accessory only.
