Replacement rear CVD for Tamiya DT/TT chassis

This rear constant velocity drive shaft is supplied as an RC replacement for Tamiya DT02, DT03 and TT02B models. Driven half-shafts are manufactured from alloy steel #45 and the set is supplied as a single pair to replace worn rear drivetrain parts.

Fitment is limited to the listed chassis; this item is NOT compatible with Tamiya 58374. It is intended for hobby use to restore drivetrain geometry, reduce play at the rear diff output, and provide a reliable metal upgrade over ageing plastic components.

Fitting follows standard rear CVD procedures: remove rear hubs and driveline parts to access the shaft ends, confirm set-screw and hex seating, and check axle alignment across suspension travel to prevent binding. Minor trimming of set-screws or a light application of thread-lock on steel fasteners may be used where appropriate.

Compatible Models

  • Tamiya DT02
  • Tamiya DT03
  • Tamiya TT02B

Always match shafts to the chassis code to ensure correct spline count and length, and inspect adjacent bearings and hub hardware during the swap.

I bought several parts off you guys for a few different Tamiya chassis. Love the quality of your products. Can I ask why you do not have any parts for the Tamiya CR-01 chassis?

Thank you very much, all arrived safely. Thank you very much for this first transaction from Japan to my beautiful France. Good luck and thank you again from the bottom of my heart. See you next time and good luck in the land of the rising sun. ++++
Yes, the product is supplied as one pair of rear CVD shafts intended to replace the stock rear driveline on compatible models.
Most installs are direct but you should verify hub seating and spline engagement; minor adjustments to set-screws or seating may be required.
Inspect spline wear, keep fasteners secure and check bearings during replacement to extend service life of the new shafts.
They are suitable for typical hobby road and mild off-road use on the listed chassis; heavier duty competition use should be evaluated against the whole drivetrain setup.
