Specifically for the TAMIYA DT-03 platform, this upgrade swaps in an aluminum hi-torque 25T servo saver and corresponding aluminium tie rods to replace standard plastic steering parts and provide a firmer, more stable steering setup.
The saver engages a 25T spline and is positioned between the servo and steering linkage to protect the servo while improving steering feedback. Aluminum tie rods minimise flex and enable more precise control over toe and steering geometry during setup changes.
Fitment checklist: press the saver onto the 25T servo spline and secure it using the DT-03 steering mounting points, match tie rod lengths to set neutral toe, and run the steering through its full range to check for interference. Make small, incremental tie rod adjustments to tune toe or centre without affecting other suspension parameters.
