This black aluminium front upright is compatible with the TAMIYA DT-03 RC chassis and uses the model code JR-DT306-BK. As an aftermarket replacement for the standard plastic upright, it increases local stiffness and can lead to crisper steering response without changing the vehicle's underlying suspension geometry.

The upright performs as the steering knuckle and wheel hub mount, accommodating the wheel hex and attaching to steering links and the lower suspension arms. Aluminium construction at these points improves structural integrity and often yields a firmer steering characteristic on smooth, organised surfaces.

Fitting is straightforward for model builders familiar with DT-03 layouts: remove the stock uprights, carry over wheel hexes and bearings, and secure the JR-DT306-BK uprights to the OEM mounts and screws. After fitment, inspect steering ball joint geometry and wheel clearance, and make sure the servo horn and tie rods travel without interference.
