These polished aluminium rear dogbones are an RC replacement part that joins the CVD output to the wheel hub on TAMIYA DT-03 rear drivetrains, intended to replace the weaker factory plastic posts.
Fabricated from solid 6061-T6 aluminium, the component is finished to a polished surface and manufactured thicker than the original moulded posts to lower the risk of bending or failure. The shaft diameter is 10mm, which is 1mm larger than the stock plastic parts, and the set includes 2 pieces for both rear posts.
Fitment is a direct replacement for DT-03 rear assemblies; confirm fit and alignment before final assembly to prevent binding. Upgrading to a stiffer aluminium post reduces flex in the rear drive link and can help sustain drivetrain behaviour under harder acceleration or when carrying extra weight. The maker provides a range of colour finishes to suit different builds.
