Adjustable 70mm alloy dampers for front end

These front shock absorbers are an upgrade tailored for the TAMIYA DT-04 RC FIGHTER NXGEN suspension. The bodies are machined from 6061-T6 aluminium, supplied filled with 500cSt silicon oil and sealed with caps to limit leakage. The piston shaft has been thickened to 3.5mm and the shock pin hardened to extend service life under repeated loading.

Role and tuning: the unit reduces internal friction, helps control dynamic loads at the front and provides an adjustable damper height for granular ride-height and spring-rate tuning. The black spring retains original compliance, while the silver 1.1mm wire spring offers a slightly higher rate to change front response without altering the damper casing.

Installation notes: intended for front positions with a 70mm centre distance, these shocks use the same mounting interfaces as the DT-04 front shock area. Install using the supplied hardware to replace the stock dampers; verify eyelet spacing and ensure the grade 12.9 screws are torqued securely.
