The JR-TFD07-LB is an aluminum replacement tower intended for the TAMIYA Fire Dragon and Terra Scorcher chassis. It installs as a rigid mounting point for the rear shocks to help control chassis flex and support consistent suspension setup changes at the track.
Made to replace the factory plastic component, this tower is compatible with the original shock shafts and mounting hardware. Fitting normally requires removing the body and rear shocks, moving any spacers and hardware across, and securing the new tower to the rear bulkhead with the vehicle's original screws. No additional specialised hardware is usually needed.
In practice, the alloy tower reduces movement where the shocks mount, which can make rebound and compression responses more uniform under load. It is aimed at hobbyists who adjust shock positions, spring rates, and damping to dial in handling on 1/10 electric buggies.
