GF-01 Steering Upgrade Notes

This RC-scale accessory pairs an aluminium 25T hi-torque servo saver with a matching aluminium tie rod set finished in blue, intended for use on TAMIYA GF-01 chassis. The assembly is designed to work with 25T servo output splines and to be part of a steering system tuned for higher torque demands.

Installation follows standard steering component replacement steps: remove the original servo saver and tie rods, fit the aluminium saver onto the servo spline ensuring correct orientation, connect the tie rod ends to the steering knuckles and adjust turnbuckles for toe and centring. After installation, check free play and end-to-end travel to avoid binding.

Functionally the servo saver provides a controlled slip point to protect the servo from sudden shocks and overloads during impacts or binding, while the aluminium tie rods offer a stiffer link for more direct steering feedback. This makes the set useful when upgrading stock plastic parts for more consistent steering feel under higher loads in club runs or practice sessions.
