For the Tamiya GF-01 chassis, this upgrade replaces the stock plastic saver and linkages with a 25T aluminium servo saver and aluminium tie rods to tighten steering response and cut down on linkage slop in crawler use.
Fitting is straightforward: remove the original plastic saver, mount the aluminium saver onto the servo spline, swap the tie rods and adjust lengths for neutral alignment. Standard hex drivers and pliers are all you need; verify thread engagement as you assemble.
Adjustment advice: aluminium tie rods will produce a firmer steering feel and can increase load on the servo. Confirm full spline engagement and, if necessary, limit end-point travel to protect the servo from excess strain. This is a mechanical precision upgrade rather than an electronic mod.
