Compatibility and fit notes

This red-anodised aluminium front upright is offered as a replacement for TAMIYA Hornet, Grasshopper, Grasshopper II, Fast Attack Vehicle, Wild One, F104 and F103 chassis. It is designed to keep the stock mounting geometry while replacing the factory plastic knuckle with a metal component for a firmer steering connection.

Fitting is intended to be direct: remove the original upright, move over any hinge pins or bushings required by your model, and attach the new upright to the chassis mounting points. No chassis modifications are normally necessary for the listed models, but it is wise to check steering-link clearance during test fitting.

As an upgrade the aluminium upright reduces knuckle flex and can make steering response crisper; use it in concert with suitable shocks, tyres and alignment adjustments to fine-tune front-end handling.
