This aluminium heatsink with integrated fan is designed to mount on a Tamiya M04M motor endbell to help control temperatures during prolonged track use or tuning sessions.
The heatsink provides additional dissipation surface and forces airflow across the motor can to slow thermal accumulation under load. Better temperature management can reduce timing drift and power roll-off due to heat, helping maintain consistent performance while adjusting gearing and ESC settings.
Installation is typical: secure the unit to the motor end using endbell screws or compatible screw points, then route the fan wiring to a suitable low-voltage source. Check clearance around the spur gear, pinion and suspension components before final fitment to avoid any mechanical interference.
Keep in mind the addition of the heatsink introduces some extra mass and a small increase in overall motor height. Use it as a cooling and tuning aid alongside correct motor selection, ESC programming and chassis airflow planning.
