Scope and application

The Factory Pro O-AP0002 33T spur is an aftermarket replacement part aimed at Tamiya M-series small touring cars. Its 48Pitch tooth form matches standard 48Pitch pinions and is used to change final drive ratio and mesh behaviour inside compact gearboxes.

Intended fitment covers M05 and compatible M06/M07/M08 variants that use the 48Pitch standard; always confirm gearbox clearances and the pinion tooth count on your chassis before fitting. This is supplied as a single-piece spur and is not a serviceable subassembly.

Fitting guidance: mount the spur on the gearbox hub, set correct backlash and axial play, and verify smooth meshing across steering and suspension travel. Carry out short, low-load trial runs to detect binding or uneven wear and correct the mesh before extended sessions.

Tuning advice: installing a 33T spur alters the overall gearing compared with alternative spurs and will affect acceleration versus top speed. Combine spur swaps with pinion changes and motor/ESC adjustments as part of a stepwise tuning approach for circuit or club use.
