The pistons are supplied as replacements for standard M06-style shock internals. Installation requires basic shock servicing: disassemble the damper, remove the original pistons and springs, insert the machined Derlin pistons and rebuild with the same oil and seals. Check orientation and hole alignment to ensure matching front and rear behaviour where needed.
