Front lower mount introduction

This front lower suspension mount is an RC hop-up tailored to the Tamiya M07 chassis and incorporates a 5 degree caster to change front-end dynamics. It replaces the standard lower link mount and is aimed at setup work where small geometry changes are evaluated.

Applying 5 degree caster moves the steering axis to affect turn-in response and stability at speed. Choose this mount when you need crisper front grip and improved self-centering without altering major suspension components. The change is geometric and does not affect drivetrain or braking functions.

Fitting is simple for those familiar with M07 front assemblies: remove the original lower mount, fit the hop-up in the same position, and refit following the original mounting sequence. After installation check toe and steering travel, then carry out incremental track tests to assess corner entry and mid-corner balance.

Maintenance follows normal small-scale suspension practice: check fixing points for tightness and wear after initial runs, and ensure steering linkages remain free as caster changes can affect angles and binding risk.

This mount is specifically designed for the Tamiya M07 front lower mount position; compatibility with other kits is not guaranteed.
Make small incremental adjustments on track, recording effects on corner entry, mid-corner balance and straight-line stability to determine the best configuration.
After fitting, verify wheel alignment, steering sweep and linkage clearance to avoid binding caused by the altered caster angle.
