Battery retention screw for T3-01

The GPM T30126P locking screw is designed specifically for the TAMIYA T3-01 DANCING RIDER battery holder. Supplied as a 2-piece set, it combines a hex-head aluminium screw with a POM lock nut to secure the battery tray during running and setup work.

Materials and form: the screw is machined from anodised 6061 T6 aluminium and features a hexagon head for accurate engagement with a hex driver. The POM lock nut resists loosening and minimises surface marking, while the aluminium shaft provides a balance of lightness and sufficient tensile capacity for model applications.

Installation and role: use the correct hex driver to pass the screw through the battery clamp into the tray mount, then tighten the POM nut until the battery sits firm without being crushed. This small upgrade helps preserve consistent handling by preventing battery movement.

Care notes: routinely check the nut for correct tightness, avoid over-tightening which can damage the battery casing or threads, and inspect the anodised surface after frequent removal. Intended for RC-scale model use only.
