The JR-TA106-RD aluminum front shock tower is an aftermarket replacement made for Tamiya TA01 and TA02 chassis, finished in red anodize. It functions as the mounting point for the front shock absorbers and offers a more rigid alternative to the factory plastic tower.
Fitting typically uses the original hardware: remove the stock tower, move any necessary spacers or bushings to the new unit, align the tower with the front suspension and steering, then tighten the fasteners. Verify steering throw and shock clearance across the full travel range before final torque.
As an upgrade the JR-TA106-RD reduces flex at the shock attach points, helping to stabilise front-end geometry and improve repeatability. It is intended to be used with compatible shock components and may require slight setup adjustments after installation.
