Aluminium lower front gearbox suited to Tamiya TA chassis

This aluminium front gear box bottom is a replacement for the factory plastic lower housing on Tamiya TA01, TA02 and DF01 chassis, designed as a direct-fit spare for repairs and setup. Serving as the lower portion of the front gearbox, it offers a more rigid mounting surface for the spur and pinion to promote stable mesh during hobby and competitive driving.

To fit, remove the front gearbox cover screws, separate the two halves, transfer the gears and bearings as required, and attach the aluminium lower using the original screws. Keep existing bearings and seals unless they are due for replacement, and double-check gear mesh after refit to avoid premature wear.

This component is suitable when replacing a damaged plastic lower case, preparing a pit spare, or when a stiffer foundation is desired for fine-tuning gear backlash and drivetrain alignment on TA01/TA02/DF01 based vehicles. For RC-scale applications only.
