About this Tamiya rear knuckle

The black anodised aluminium rear knuckle arm is compatible with Tamiya TA01, TA02, DF01 and FF01 chassis and acts as a replacement for the stock rear steering/knuckle unit. It offers a rigid mounting point for the hub and axle interface and is aimed at hobbyists performing routine maintenance and setup work.

Fitting is usually simple: remove the rear wheel and hub, check bearings and link pins for serviceability, swap the original knuckle for the aluminium item and refit compatible stock hardware. Ensure correct orientation, tighten mounting screws to the proper specification and recheck tyre toe and wheel alignment prior to running.

From a compatibility perspective, a metal rear knuckle reduces component flex compared with many original plastic parts, helping rear alignment remain stable during suspension movement and under load. Use with appropriate hubs and good bearings and verify suspension geometry to achieve repeatable handling outcomes.
