Finned aluminium motor mounting plate

Designed for the Tamiya TT01 chassis, this aftermarket plate replaces the stock motor mount with an aluminium unit that adds a heatsink-style surface. The upgrade is aimed at reducing motor temperatures and maintaining a square motor position relative to the gearbox during spirited driving or setup work.

Practically the plate combines passive cooling and structural stiffness. The finned top increases exposed metal for heat dispersion while the alloy body minimises flex versus plastic mounts, helping to keep the pinion and spur correctly aligned for consistent power transfer on road-style surfaces.

Installation follows usual TT01 practice: remove the original plate, fit the motor to the new mount, and secure with the original chassis mount points and hardware. Standard hex drivers are all that is required; check torque and mesh after the first runs to confirm alignment and cooling effect.

great to deal with and communication is very good !👍
No. The plate is produced to match TT01 mounting points and typically fits with the chassis' existing holes.
In most installations stock screws and spacers will work. Inspect the assembly during fitting and replace fasteners only if necessary for correct seating.
After fitting, tighten mounts evenly, test gear engagement by hand, then run the car briefly and recheck mesh and torque settings once components have bedded in.
