Aluminium tie rod for TT01 steering

This alloy steering tie rod is an aftermarket replacement tailored for the Tamiya TT01 chassis, referenced as model TT049. It replaces fragile plastic link components with a metal rod and includes the required mounting screws for correct installation.

Choose this part to repair worn steering connections or to increase linkage rigidity on a 1/10 scale TT01 electric touring car. The aluminium build resists routine wear from steering inputs and track sessions while keeping factory steering geometry intact.

To install, remove the original tie rod from the servo horn and steering knuckles, fit the alloy rod into the same mounting points, and secure with the supplied screws. After assembly, check steering throw and thread engagement, and make small adjustments to prevent over-tightening that can affect steering feedback.

For setup work, use the tie rod as a tuning point: small length changes at the rod ends alter effective toe and trim, helping dial in turn-in and mid-corner balance without changing servo or suspension hardware.

It fits standard TT01 geometry; for heavily modified or hybrid builds confirm the steering horn and knuckle mount positions match the original layout.
Applying a medium-strength threadlocker to the screws is recommended for regular track use to prevent loosening under load.
The part retains original geometry when fitted; any change to steering feel comes from increased rigidity and from intentional length adjustments at the rod ends.
