This 31mm alloy dog bone is an aftermarket drivetrain part produced by GPM for the Tamiya TT02 chassis. It is supplied as a direct-fit front and rear half-shaft replacement, aimed at owners who want a more durable metal option instead of the factory plastic dog bones.
Serving as the link from differential outputs to wheel hubs, the alloy build reduces wear compared with plastic dog bones and helps keep power transfer consistent during repeated running. It is sized for 1/10 scale TT02 touring style cars and should be used alongside other tuning steps to achieve the desired handling balance.
Fitting is straightforward: remove the wheel and hub carrier where required, extract the original dog bone and install the alloy replacement, checking the seating at the diff cup and hub end. Afterwards check gear mesh and diff preload and use a light grease on contact areas between metal and plastic or bearings to minimise wear and noise.
Tuning note: alloy dog bones increase drivetrain rigidity which can affect throttle response and corner behaviour; use TT2131 when you need a consistent driveline feel for setup work or repeatable test runs.
