This completed 1/48 finished replica of an early production Tiger I is delivered fully assembled and painted, designed for display use within Tamiya's 1/48 military collection.
The Tiger I appeared in 1942 as a heavy German tank intended to combine powerful armament and strong protection. Outfitted with the 88 mm KwK 36 and heavy frontal armor, it served on Eastern, Western, Italian and North African fronts. Early production vehicles produced between late 1942 and mid 1943 can be recognised by items such as the tall cylindrical commander's cupola and turret pistol ports.
The product is supplied fully assembled and professionally painted with pre-applied markings for tank No.213 of sPzAbt 502 (Russia, Summer 1944). Notable early production features are modelled, and the lower hull is die-cast metal to add weight and improve stance. The finished length is specified as 175mm and the package includes a display base with a name plate.
