These aluminium spring shocks are developed as an upgrade for TRAXXAS 1/5 X-MAXX machines. The L-shape piggyback reservoir holds additional damping oil across travel, and the seal configuration aims to reduce leakage and sustain consistent damping during extended sessions.
The kit uses 7mm stainless steel shock shafts to improve stiffness at the piston interface, and supplies two coil spring variants for ride tuning: 2.6mm (green) and 2.8mm (orange). Small components are produced to tight tolerances and the assemblies are hand-checked to ensure correct fit for aftermarket suspension work.
Key tuning variables are effective oil volume (piggyback), shaft rigidity (7mm shafts), and spring rate (supplied springs). Combined, these let you refine responsiveness, limit body roll, and manage compression behaviour on the large X-MAXX platforms listed below.
